Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, Samsung announced two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. Both watches are designed for Android users (sorry, iPhone fans) and run the hybrid operating system that came out of Google and Samsung combining their respective platforms — Wear OS with Samsung One UI.

The $250 Galaxy Watch 4 and $350 Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are up for preorder right now. These two smartwatches are starting to ship on Aug. 27 — the same day the new foldable phones launch.

We’ve been testing both watches for over a week and there’s a lot to love here.

A feature-filled smartwatch

The Galaxy Watch 4 might be entry-level with price, but offers the full experience of a Wear OS smartwatch. The redesigned interface is more intuitive, supports Google services and offers a range of third-party apps. Additionally with a new sensor it can be even more of a partner with your fitness journey.

The same features housed in a sleeker build

The Watch 4 Classic is the classier version of the Watch 4, but has the same specifications and runs the same Wear OS powered by Samsung. You’ll be able to navigate the interface by turning the moveable bezel or by using touch gestures. It’s designed for fitness, health and work.

Who this is for: The Galaxy Watch 4 and 4 Classic are for Android phone users who want a smartwatch that brings Google apps to Samsung’s tried-and-true hardware.
